Overview
Prompt Template Management allows users to create, save, and manage custom prompt templates within Spark. This feature streamlines workflows by enabling reusable prompts that can be accessed later by the prompt creator or shared across their account.
Key Functionality
Access Location
- Navigate to the Prompts section under Spark.
- Click Create Prompt Template (blue button located at the top right).
Prompt Template Form
Users fill out the following fields:
- Prompt Title – Required. This is the name of the template and how it will appear in the library.
- Prompt (body) – Required. The actual prompt text.
- Custom Instructions (optional) – Additional guidance for how the prompt should be used. (Ex. “Be brief, use lots of bullets and emojis and sound fun and energetic”)
- Marketing Lifecycle (optional) – Select the most relevant lifecycle stage to associate with the prompt (Planning, Production, Promotion, Performance, Personalization)
- Types (tags) – Required. Users can select one or multiple tags from a dropdown to improve searchability in the Prompt Library.
Visibility Settings
At the top of the prompt form, users choose who can access the template:
- Only Me – Template is private and only visible to the creator.
- My Account – Template is shared with all users in the account. It will appear in the Prompt Library for that account only (not visible outside the account, “All users”).
Previewing
- In this first release, users can preview the prompt when in editing mode. The right side panel will display the results that would appear the same as using Spark in normal situations.
Saving
- Click Save to create the template.
- Once saved, the template will appear in the Prompt Library under the chosen visibility setting.
Using Templates
- Users can search for templates by title or tags (Types) in the Prompt Library.
- Templates can be selected and used directly in Spark workflows.
Editing
- Users can edit their own prompts by clicking on the 3-dot menu option on the prompt card and click “edit”.
